So, in this blog, we are going to discuss the Wipro WILP – Work Integrated Learning Program. I know many students from BCA and BSc backgrounds receive this role. Through this program, they not only get a job but also pursue their M.Tech degree alongside their work.
Before moving ahead, I want to clarify one important point. For the first 4 to 5 years, you are not considered a core employee of Wipro. You are treated as a student pursuing an M.Tech degree from BITS Pilani while working full-time. You’ll be working almost five days a week, often in rotational shifts—morning, evening, and even night.

There are no proper holidays, and on weekends, you’ll be attending classes and college exams. This phase can be very challenging, especially considering the low salary, which we will discuss further in this blog.
Company | Role | Rating (Out of 10) |
---|---|---|
Wipro | WILP (Scholar Trainee) | 6.0 |
TCS | Ignite | 8.0 |
Deloitte | NLA Analyst | 9.0 |
Accenture | System and Application Services Associate | 8.5 |
Cognizant | Programmer Analyst Trainee | 7.0 |
Infosys | Operations Executive | 7.5 |
Wipro WILP – Important Points
- Wipro WILP offers a job along with an M.Tech degree from BITS Pilani.
- For the first 4–5 years, you are considered a student, not a core employee.
- You’ll work 5 days a week in rotational shifts—morning, evening, or night.
- Weekends are packed with classes and exams, leaving no real holidays.
- The salary is very low, starting at ₹14,700 and reaching up to ₹32,000 by the 5th year.
- Night shift bonuses are available, but there is no Provident Fund during the initial years.
- Life insurance and health benefits are only offered after completing 4 years.
Salary you are going to get in Wipro WILP, to be honest, is very, very low. In the first year, you are going to get around ₹14,700 in hand. Second year, ₹16,700. Third year, around ₹19,000. Fourth year is around ₹23,000, and fifth year is around ₹30,000 to ₹32,000.

If you opt to work in Wipro WILP in the night shift, then you will get night shift bonus allowances. But the main twist here is, you are not going to get any PF—means Provident Fund. So, that is the most important concept. If you are an employee of IT, you must have something like life insurance and hospital insurance. This is not considered here up to four years, but after four years, you have that option.
Year | In-Hand Salary (Approx.) | Night Shift Bonus | PF / Insurance |
---|---|---|---|
1st Year | ₹14,700 | Applicable | Not Provided |
2nd Year | ₹16,700 | Applicable | Not Provided |
3rd Year | ₹19,000 | Applicable | Not Provided |
4th Year | ₹23,000 | Applicable | Not Provided |
5th Year | ₹30,000 – ₹32,000 | Applicable | Option Available After 4 Years |
So, almost everyone’s doubt is whether the M.Tech is valued or not. To be honest, this is completely distance learning, UGC-approved, AICTE-approved—everything is approved here. But when you switch to another company, that degree won’t really work, because you will have four to five years of experience. That experience will be given the highest priority over your degree. So, don’t join just for the sake of the degree. If you don’t have any other option, then you can consider this.
But life after four years will be better, and the life during those four years will help you grow. So, it’s up to you. If you don’t have any other option, you may need to join here. As a BCA student, I would prefer to pursue MCA or consider other options. But if your financial condition and family issues are not allowing you to do these things, then please consider this as an option, and you can join Wipro WILP.
WIMS involves domains completely related to networking, IT testing, support, desktop support, call center, email support, and ticket solving. These roles fall under WIMS.
If you get WASE, that is completely related to development—Java programming, Python programming, SQL databases—everything comes under this category.
Track – Wipro WILP | Full Form | Domain/Work Area |
---|---|---|
WIMS | Work Integrated Management Studies | Networking, IT Testing, Desktop Support, Email Support, Ticket Resolution |
WASE | Work Integrated Learning for Software Engineers | Java, Python, SQL, Software Development, Database Management |
And the most important concept is the five-year agreement. If you want to leave the organization within five years, then you have to pay fees. For example, if you are leaving in the first year, you have to pay ₹1.5 lakh. If you are leaving in the second year, you have to pay ₹1.2 lakh. This is followed by ₹80,000 in the third year, ₹50,000 in the fourth year, and ₹25,000 in the fifth year.
This is because Wipro invests that money in your M.Tech degree. If you leave in between, then you are liable to pay that amount to the company, as Wipro has already paid it to BITS Pilani where you are pursuing the M.Tech degree. The entire degree is sponsored by Wipro.
So, before joining Wipro WILP, consider that you are indirectly paying around ₹1.2 to ₹1.5 lakh. Keep that in mind. After that, be mentally prepared to face work pressure and stress, as you may feel mentally harassed by the workload.
The third and most important point is that almost all candidates get support roles. Only a few lucky ones get roles in IT support or testing, and it is very rare to get a development role.
For BCA Wipro WILP, there are multiple amazing roles available in different companies. For example, TCS Smart Hiring offers the Ignite role, Deloitte has the NLA (National Level Assessment) Analyst role, which is also a great option. Then there is Accenture’s System and Application Services Associate role, Cognizant’s Programmer Analyst Trainee role, Infosys’ Operations Executive role, and ExaWare’s Management Trainee role. So, these are multiple better options you can consider rather than Wipro WILP.
Company | Role Name | Role Type / Area |
---|---|---|
TCS | Ignite (via Smart Hiring) | Programming + Higher Education (M.Tech) |
Deloitte | NLA Analyst (National Level Assessment) | Analyst / Business Technology Role |
Accenture | System and Application Services Associate | Functional / Support / Testing |
Cognizant | Programmer Analyst Trainee | Development / Testing |
Infosys | Operations Executive | IT Support / Operations |
ExaWare | Management Trainee | Management / Business Operations |
